I have a horrible cold and I am still recovering from a tree trimming debacle that happened 4 weeks ago…..

My knees are giving me hell every time I go running and I’m currently waiting (with trepidation) to see what the orthopedist is going to say when I visit him.

Lazy co-workers stress me out! no, not poof

Money, money money. I have way to many medical bills! (Even with insurance.) Time. Not enough hours in the day to do everything I want to do! I miss by SO a lot right now because he is 30,000 leagues under the sea. (Navy)

Ok, my bitching for the day has been done. Thanks for asking. :) Happy Friday… Even though it’s my “Wednesday”

Exams. Ew.

Money always, including now. I have a (much-needed) vacation planned this weekend and I’m worried about how I’m going to pay for it. Also got in a fight with a religious co-worker earlier over Prop 8 (an intitative here in California in case you’re from elsewhere). Also got in a fight with a non-work friend over something really, really stupid. Also had my car break down yesterday and it’s in the shop until Monday to fix the same problem they allegedly fixed six months ago. Also, my boyfriend got in a car accident on Wednesday and totalled his car. It’s been a rough week. Looking forward to 6pm, which is only about 10 minutes away.

something so petty but such a pain in the ass, I don’t have anything to wear to a wedding tomorrow and I’ve been looking all week.

wildflower's avatar

- not enough hours in the day
– can’t get anyone to cover my lateshift on the day of my exam (20th)
– tension with certain peers at work because of a recent project I’ve taken on
– lack of motivation to be at home

A_Beaverhausen's avatar

i second the exam answer.

@blue good luck at the ortho.
My puppy is a problem. He is chewing everything in the house including me. I am his favorite 5 foot 2 chew toy.

Bluefreedom's avatar

Thanks chyna. Physical therapy has done all they can so now I have to take it to the next level.

the concern about the economy’s effect on my husband’s pension.

I live in the wrong place (Martinsburg, WV), and can’t afford to live in the right place (Frederick, MD). I’ve been here for 4 years, and still miss “my” town.

As a side note, I find it very intriguing that this question, even though it was asked more recently, has attracted far more answers than this question. What does that say about us?

Fibromyalgia. I really feel like I’m dying most days. Today I feel like I can barely move and I have a raging headache.

I also just moved and can’t get a job because I’m so sick so my husband is left to support the both of us and I feel like the biggest piece of crap. There are some days where I can’t stop crying.

jbfletcherfan's avatar

I hit a huge deer Tuesday night & totalled my car. Now I’m without one for a few days. :-(

augustlan's avatar

@Galicia: I have Fibromyalgia, too. Have you tried Lyrica? It has helped me a lot! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to work full time again, but day to day things are better.

Galicia's avatar

@ augustlan- no Lyrica. I was on Cymbalta but I’m pregnant and can’t take it. Pregnancy makes it 10 times harder. I was kind of hoping that I would be one of the lucky women that felt better when they were pregnant.

I’m just glad that my husband is so supportive. I don’t know what I would do without him.

Occipital neuralgia that pretty much dictates how I feel on the day to day. My new physical therapist practices myofascial release where she works on a different muscle group every time I see her (twice a week) and then I wake up sore in whatever spot she works. Chronic pain and headaches are a real hassle.

Money is always a problem, but one I choose not to focus on too much.

Wondering if I’m too lenient as a parent (is midnight too late a curfew for a sophomore?).

The question of why parents would rather blame me as a teacher for why their kid earns failing grades, rather than addressing their student’s lack of motivation.

Other than that life is good. I have a hubby who loves me, three kids who are heatly and show great potential. Everything else means nothing in the greater scheme of things.

gimmedat's avatar

*heatly? No, healthy.

OMG, where do I start? I’m a mess!!!

Sloane2024's avatar

I don’t understand the trig identities that I have a test on on Monday.
I haven’t seen my SO in over a month. I miss him so so so so much that it’s driving me and him insane.
I’m in the middle of my parents nasty, 2.5 year long divorce.
How on earth will I ever be able to work hard enough in high school to get my desired colleges’ tuition paid for?
I worry constantly about our country and what the future for my children will be.

I“m not being pessimistic, but I thought listing a few of my major ones my help you in your project. Good luck. :)

1) My son is about to graduate High School, but has no idea or inspiration for what to do next.

2) He will attend college, so finances are tricky. I have an inheritance that I was saving to use as a down payment for my first home, but my credit history isn’t great and the mortgage and housing industries are a mess. If that money is still in savings when I complete Financial Aid forms, we won’t qualify for much aid, if any.

3) There’s a man I love, whose love for me has changed my life… we want to be together, but there are issues that keep us apart. We are working at overcoming those problems, but there is no guarantee for the outcome.

The older I get the more complicated life is!!

@Uber… Sorry to hear about your accident! I hope you will make a full recovery… physically, financially, and emotionally.

I can’t afford to send my kids to the kind of school I want to. My son plays alone at recess every day. He’s a different little guy, and I want him to feel a part of a community. The public school they’re at talked a big game, but they didn’t follow through. I am beyond disappointed and it’s breaking my heart.

gimmedat's avatar

@Megan, when you say that the public school talked a big game, what kind of things are you looking for? The only reason I ask is because you, as a parent, have a good deal of power as far as getting the services you feel your little guy needs. I would love to chat further if you’re interested. PM me if you’d like. I’m not trying to be creepy, it’s just that I work with different kids and their parents through the program I run, so if you’d like a sounding board, I’d be more than happy to hear it and possibly facilitate solutions??

I feel lonely and I don’t know why. I have everything and everyone that I need. I should feel more thankful about all of this.

seVen's avatar

Nothing, God’s my ALL.

Skyrail's avatar

If I told you it’d become a bigger problem then it already is.

Besides that, university applications are worrying me, interviews and such. brrr.

wildflower's avatar

@TheHaight: know what you mean – get that too from time to time. The whole “lonely in a crowd” feeling….

shadling21's avatar

I lost my phone.

Aside from that, I need to determine my priorities or else I’ll just burn out.

And I gotta stick to my guns.

sarahsugs's avatar

I work too much. I’m too tired when I get home. And it’s dark by 5:30 bc of daylight savings.

Thanks for the chance to complain.

Nimis's avatar

I’ve been really sad lately because an old friend and I parted ways.
We’d been friends for 15 years. That’s a lot to let go of.

rancid's avatar

Same problem as always: getting along with others. Also dandruff. My head itches like I’d been wearing a man-o-war on my head.
