What would be a good music track for a duo tap routine of two guys?

Asked by chromaBYTE (652points) November 12th, 2008

Next year me and a friend are entering the dance eisteddfod as a tap duo and we need to think of which songs we’re going to dance to. We’ll probably take several songs and mould them together.

I’ve started to put together a list of possible tracks, but I need more ideas. We generally want to go something rocky. One song I’m thinking of keeping is Rock Is Dead by Marilyn Manson from The Matrix soundtrack, if that gives you an idea of what I’m looking for.

Doesn’t have to be rock, just keep in mind it’s for two guys doing tap.

Awesome! Rock is Dead is great (even if it’s a bit vulgar).

If you want to go hardcore, what about some Deth Klok? Haha… I seriously considered choreographing something to that.

I also thought a dance to Disturbed would be cool. Or Korn. Or System of a Down.

Lately, I’ve been into more funky stuff for tap. N.E.R.D, Sam Sparro, 311…

I don’t know if this helped much. What other songs are you planning to use?

@shadling21 I love Black & Gold by Sam Sparro, thinking if we can get that in as well it would be cool.

If you like that jazzy funk, then might I suggest track one on this EP? Whenever I hear it, I want to tap dance.
