To me, Moe’s = Chipotle = Qdoba

They are all essentially the same thing….

Neither, YUCK!

Support your local taco truck.

Chipotle, mostly because I don’t like cilantro and Qdoba’s rice reeks of it.

Baja Fresh when I am in California, but here in the Cornfield Chipotle.

Okay, Qdoba used to kinda suck.

Then Chipotle came along with their organically raised ingredients and incredibly fresh food line. Cue the introduction of that beautiful cilantro-lime rice there. Mmmm mm!

Then, Qdoba understood for themselves that their food really did suck, so they switched their ingredients to copycat Chipotle… even down to the cilantro-lime rice.

Oh, and Baja Fresh jumped on that same band wagon, too.

The copycats had a perfect example to follow… and you know what? They still suck.

For my money, Chipotle is one of the best deals in the restaurant industry.

I love qdoba’s corn salsa. But both Qdoba and Chipotle are pretty expensive compared to Moe’s. If you live near a good one, you can get a kid’s meal (with chips, drink, and cookie!) for about 5 bucks. And it’s plenty of food. These megaburritos are just too much food. I don’t need a 1300 calorie lunch, thank you very much.

But be careful with Moe’s! Our Moe’s was so gross. The chips were always stale. We got free Moe’s coupons at school every so often because they were super close to campus, but not even free food could convince us to eat there. And that is saying something coming from college students.

@Empress, I actually worked at the local Moe’s for a few months, and I was extremely impressed by how clean it was. The cashier always made fresh chips, too! I’m sure it varies by the store, but the one near me is spic-n-span. It’s also the highest grossing Moe’s in the US! It doesn’t hurt that they serve dirt cheap meals to college kids!

Ours wasn’t gross as in not clean. It was gross as in the food just didn’t taste good. It might have been because they were super new, they hadn’t hit their stride yet. We only gave them two chances. Which, to be honest, is one more than I really wanted to give them.

Around these parts, Moe’s fares rather poorly in market competition against a nearby Chipotle. I personally found it bland, derivative, and unsatisfying. The one we had closed up shop in less than 6 months.

All in all, I’m happy for you (the collective you) if you have a place you like to eat, wherever that may be.
