I don’t understand the question. But since i’m answering at this hour (4am here), fluther is costing me sleep.

Right now, sleep and a term paper. Uh oh..

@cdwccrn: Everything you do has an opportunity cost. Opportunity cost is what is given up because you choose to do something else. For example, if you want to go to the movies, the opportunity cost is that you could have instead spent your money on food, or saved it. Or, perhaps you could have spent your time doing some other activity. Like Fluthering!

My eyesight. I only Fluther on my iPhone.

Sleep, research paper that isn’t getting written, sleep, sleep, studying, sleep. Oh, and food too. too lazy to get up and cook, too late to go get something from a food store (5:02 am)

Whatever it costs me in a negative way, and I’m not sure what that is, I’ll deal with it later. For now, Fluther is a good time and it’s worth the sacrifices.

For me, it’s playing my guitar and crafts. But I’m getting better in organizing my time, and am getting in the habit of limiting myself to 15 minute intervals on the site.

Homework and cleaning. Right now it is putting lights on the trees.

Sleep and schoolwork. But I’ve found I learn way more on Fluther (especially in the chatroom) than I do in school anyway.

Hey, can someone give me a link to this chatroom I’ve heard so often about? Another off topic Fluther question I have is, how do you make a public comment on a person’s user page that’s a reply to one of their comments in a discussion? Sorry for derailing a bit :)

Allie's avatar

Yes, omfgTALIjustIMDu, but what are you learning in the chatroom? :p

chat room is evil

@Shock, as a former economics major, you had me at “opportunity cost.” For me at this point it is studying for a final and writing a paper. I must say that no matter what I have never, ever experienced diminishing returns in my use of fluther.

Guns and butter, supply and demand, economies of scale, it’s like slipping on an old – slightly ill fitting – pair of slippers.

poofandmook's avatar

nobody’s ever in the chat room when I go in!

Not much, really. Occasionally work, since I only Fluther at work, but since I dispatch, it doesn’t really matter.

@Allie, Oh you know, the important things in life…different kinds of drugs, how to make Jungle Juice, etc. Annddddd all about tornadoes and aquatics and plenty of other stuff :)

shrubbery's avatar

I learnt how to play beer pong in the chatroom yesterday :P

jlm11f's avatar

poof, you must be using the wrong link. i’ve never ever seen you enter the chat room. will PM you

arnbev959's avatar

Real work.

But it’s worth it.

Allie's avatar

omfgtalijustimdu and shrubbery: You’re welcome, ladies.

omfgTALIjustIMDu's avatar

@shrubbery and allie, Damn, I missed yesterday’s lesson! That could have been a good one too. I guess you’ll have to fill me in tonight.
