How do I play the Lexus navigation system tutorial video on my PC?

Asked by desberg (169points) September 1st, 2007

I recently purchased a Lexus RX 350 with a Navigation System.
An interactive CD-rom & audio CD tutorial was provided to enable the user to better learn the navigation system. I have the necessary RAM and CD-POM drive with sound card in my PC but for some reason I am able to only receive audio and no video when I attempy to play the cd on my PC. Anyone else experience this same kind of thing and if so what did you do to solve it?

What software are you using to play the cd? Stupid question but are you sure you’re not accidentally trying to play the audio cd?
You must be special…all I got when I bought my GS 430 was a little pamphlet about the nav system! Have you tried playing the DVD in your lexus? I’m not sure if the gps screen plays DVDs like my GS, but its worth a try!

The jacket of the CD-ROM says: “Recommended Minimum Windows configuration 600 Mhz, Pentium-Windows 2000 or later-128 MB RAM – 800×600 24 bit (True) color display – 16 speed CD-ROM drive-sound card with speakers” (I have Windows 2000)
I haven’t tried it on the vehicle gps screen since all the information on the cover seem to me to be talking about a PC but it’s worth a try. Of course one shouldn’t also be driving the car while trying to watch a video CD. In fact I don’t know if the gps system would even play a DVD or not. I don’t think it will.
