Best ways to get over a breakup?

Ok people, give me some tips. What do you do to keep yourself busy so that you dont think about it? Im gonnna need a lot of tips for this one…

Holiday parties with a focus on single friends/people. If all of your friends have someone, going to a bash with them might just be depressing—go with other singletons if you can. Unless they are great friends and only great friends will be there, then hang with them. Keeping busy is great. Take a class or start a project.

Get up and look your best every day. Put your make-up on, hold your head up high and put yourself back out in the world. The worst thing you can do is sit in a corner and sulk and let yourself go. If you feel like you must sulk for a bit, give yourself a deadline. Then immerse yourself in self pampering. Buy yourself some hot new jeans, maybe some new perfume. Pamper yourself and treat yourself like the princes you are.

Find tons of things to do! Enroll in a night class, volunteer at a worthy cause, I guarantee you will be too busy and tired to dwell on it. :-)

just doing it, not sure how you guys handle it, but i just put it out of my mind, and maybe i’ll think about her once in a while, but it’s just a matter of wanting it

Often in relationships, I tend to put off doing some of the personal things I love doing, in order to spend time some with my SO – I’m sure we all do that, and it’s not a bad unless we’ve given up too much. For me these things are hiking, road-trips, art projects, writing music, etc, and I simply start doing these things again. I also take the time to really reconnect with friends and family. Taking a class always helps me too.

Exercise is ALWAYS helpful, and probably one of the best things you can do for yourself! You will likely lose sleep thinking about everything, and exercise will help you sleep.
