Do you have plans for Valentine's Day as early as now?

Asked by rutheena (46points) January 15th, 2009

Every occasion, we want to let our loved one knows that we think of them dearly. So this coming Valentine’s Day, do you wish to give something to your loved ones?

Let’s just say plans are “in the works” – I’m surprising my sweetie this year. He doesn’t even know what he’s in for!

My bf will be offshore for the next 50 days :( I’ll probably go out with my single girlfriends and watch them pick up on guys.

I should be getting my new Blackberry on Valentine’s Day.
So I will spend my day setting it up, eating chocolate, and giving my bf tech envy.

I wish I could spend the day with him but I can’t :( oh well, perhaps next year?

Nope. Actually, our anniversary is about a week after Valentine’s Day, so we never do anything big for Valentine’s. We do things for our children, though. My daughter’s birthday is a couple days before our anniversary, so really, that is the first priority.

@cak, that’s a lot of events in such a short time-span! sounds like a lot of fun/work

@ La chica gomela It is! You’d think two reasonably intelligent people would have considered all of that, wouldn’t you? It’s busy, but fun!

Give something??? Yep, maybe a shirt. What do you think?

We’re either going to a hot dog stand or a burger joint. And we’re not giving gifts. We love each other, that’s enough. (We swore off grandiose celebration after our anniversary.)

Neah. We randomly made up our own holiday instead.
I think it was back in 2003, so we chose 3/30.

On Valentine’s Day, we just order some take-out
and laugh at all the other couples scrambling for
last minute reservations to all the chi-chi restaurants.
And at all the panicked guys running around after work looking for gifts.

Valentines day is lame. Now 3/14 that is an AWESOME DAY
