What are the different eye colors better/worse at?

Asked by robmandu (21331points) October 5th, 2007

Have heard that blue eyes are more sensitive to UV light, and hence need protection from UV more than other eye colors. But I’d also be interested to know if, for example, green-eyed folks are often smarter; hazel-eyed folks can shoot frickin’ laser beams from their heads… that kind of thing.

The blue eyes being more sensitive to UV has to do with real science. Less pigment means less protection. It’s the equivilant to being white as opposed to dark skinned.
For anything else, it’s probably just myth. Every good myth has some truth behind it, but should be taken with a grain of salt.

Green eyes, when observed on a redheaded woman, seem to have a super-power of making me lose verbal coherency. All of a sudden, my verbs disappear. Call it my personal Kryptonite.
