Looking for a good site that provides strength exercises...any suggestions?

Asked by melanie81 (794points) February 28th, 2009

I’d like to find a clean, easy-to-navigate site with lots of exercises for both free weights and machines broken down by muscle group, so I can mix up my strength routine every so often.

All I can seem to find are crappy sites that look like they were created circa 1995 (i.e. http://www2.gsu.edu/~wwwfit/lowerbod.html) or ones that are filled with crappy ads (i.e. http://www.strongshape.com/strength-training-exercises.html).

I did find that first link…and bookmarked it! It’s the closest to what I’m looking for…I just wish the photos were a bit bigger so I could see the person’s form. Thanks for both!

There are a number of fitness sites that have exercise information (many with videos), support forums and daily food logs.
LiveStrong.com
SparkPeople.com
Gyminee.com
DotFit.com

Let me add to that list.
Traineo
BodyDaemon

None of them are perfect but they each have their strengths.

My website provides good strength training exercises.

And it’s updated twice a week
