My co-worker just posted a note on facebook about how she hates her job. Should I say anything to her?

I don’t personally care if she hates her work or not. But I do think that if other people—other co-workers, future employers, future grad school—checked out her facebook profile (as many of them do), it would reflect badly upon her. Should I say something, and if so, what?

Telling her would be nice—but keep in mind that she might think it’s weird that you’ve been looking at her facebook profile (unless she already knows you use facebook). Tell her that she should remember that other people might read that.

Or just tell her to set her facebook profile so that only friends can see what she writes.

Just tell her you are concerned that other people might see it and that might work against her. And maybe she was just having a bad day, we all go through that! But you won’t know if you don’t talk to her.
