Does anybody have a recipe to make cheese, of any kind, at home?

Asked by Falimar (29points) November 27th, 2006
Gouda, bleu, or something in the range of hard-to-make cheese would be best. I have only made paneer and labaneh before.

I don't know but I would love to know how you make labaneh!

to make labeneh, you just take goats milk (or cows milk) yogurt, put it in a cheese cloth sack and hang it over the sink for a day or so to let the liquid out.

Fresh mozzarella is very easy to make and delicious w/garden tomatoes, red onion, fresh basil, good balsamic vinegar and olive oil, kosher salt and fresh ground pepper. I believe there is a recipe on the food network website.

I just finished reading Barbara Kingsolver's new book, "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" and there is a very detailed account of how to make your own mozzarella cheese--she makes it sound really easy. Hope this helps!

its not the best but if ur hungry…it doesn’t matter.
You’ll need a pot, some grated cheese, water/milk or both, and seasonigs of ur choice. I prefer paprika.
so put ur pot on the stove and turn the stove on at a medium temperature.
pour as much milk/water as u see needed.
when it starts to bubble add ur cheese and turn the fire down a bit.
stir in cheese until mixture is creamy and then add ur seasonings.
