Would you purchase/have you purchased a Vizio Television?

I am in the market for a new television. Vizio has aggressively priced televisions, but what of the quality?

I’ve know 2 people with Visio televisions.

When they talk about they both say they would have liked a better tv but couldn’t afford it at the time.

I’m looking for a new tv too and there are some fantastic deals due to the faltering economy that rival Visios asking prices.

If you’re going into a electronics store don’t be afraid to negotiate price. They’re desperate to move product. If you can get a Samsung for the price of a Visio, it worth talking to a manager if you have to. It may be a little more hassle but ultimately, they want you to walk out with a tv.

In 29 years, I’ve owned exactly two televisions. Both were Sonys. The first one lasted 20 years.

My Mother bought a 52” Visio, and I have a 52” Samsung. Hers was only 900 and the picture isn’t bad at all, not as good as mine but a whole lot cheaper.

I have a 40” Vizio, and I’m very happy with it. There is a little bit of motion blur on fast action, I only notice it when I’m watching basketball, and SD tv doesn’t look especially good on it. But those flaws are tiny when compared to a Tube tv. My Vizeo was much cheaper than comparable sets by other manufacturers, so I probably would still be watching tube tv were it not for their pricing. If its“buy a Vizio or wait for other sets to come down” I say go for it!

I have a refurbished GV47LF that I have had for about 18 months. We got it off eBay and put a 3 year squaretrade warranty on it for less than $1200 shipped total. It’s our main TV and I haven’t had a bit of trouble with it. I highly recommend Vizio TVs.
