Anyone ever been to Costa Rica?

My boyfriend and a couple friends of mine are all planning a trip to Costa Rica for this upcoming summer. my boyfriend has been there before so he knows a few things to do, but mostly it’s like fishing. I’ve never been there and since qwe will be there for two weeks I would like some fun things to do.

Before I go and waste my time looking at travel websites where they just make everything look fun, can anyone tell me what would be fun to do there ?

Even if you haven’t been, do you have any good ideas for me to do while im there.

( we will be renting a car so we will be able to move around, so location is not a problem ) :]

I have never been there but I have heard many wonderful things about Costa Rica while I was working as a travel agent. If you like adventure, this is the place for you. You can try white water rafting. You can also swim with dolphins. The Costa Rica Tourism and Travel Bureau has a great site that can help you plan your activities.

I went there on my honeymoon long ago (I’m no longer married to him) and it was great…it was cheap and amazing and wonderful…go in the summer, make sure you go canopy riding, rent out a car when there, hit all the Playas and interact with the locals

san jose is full of good museums and such, but i mean, while youre there (if you go to san jose), you both really need to be aware of your surroundings.

this is obvious, but if you go to the ocean, dont do what i did and put on non-waterproof spf8 lotion and dive into the sea. seriously. i was a lobster (MIRA GRINGA!) for two weeks. people WILL stare at you and it wont be pretty if you dont heed my advice. :)

oh oh oh, also, in san jose, BE A DEFENSIVE DRIVER. PERIOD. ASSUME YOU NEVER HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY EVER.
