the directions are on the back of the box, and there is usually a "fill line" on the dropper

for our baby, from 0-8 months at least, it's .4 ml (I think it's ml), so, not very much. It's usually good to ask your ped. It's a lot less than half the dropper. Also, put the end of the dropper in their check. Our little girl, surprisingly, loved the taste.
