How do delete the date on my Word document?

Asked by howieson (4points) January 11th, 2008

I did not insert the date on a Word document but it shows in print preview and obviously prints the date. I do not want the date on the document.

Does it show the date in the header (at the very top) or footer (at the very bottom)? If it is one of those, you should be able to double click on it, highlight it, and press delete. If this works, you will want to check the first page as well the other pages, if it is a multi-page document, to make sure the change occurred throughout. Otherwise, I would poke around in the page setup at try to find something pertinent. Also, clicking on the “File” menu, then “Print…” will sometimes yield some useful options. I don’t have it right it front of me for reference so I can’t really give you anything more specific than that. Hope this helps!
