Tonight there will be a full moon. Does it make you act differently?

Asked by jbfletcherfan (13212points) August 5th, 2009

Do you know someone who it does make them act differently? Does it affect mental health? Does it make an alcoholic drink more? I used to work with a gal that a full moon made her alcoholic husband just go nuts. What does it do to you, if anything?

Personally, I LOVE a full moon. My fingernails get real long & my canine teeth come down. Owwoooooooo…........

statistically speaking there is more crime on nights of a full moon.
Me personally? I’m pretty sure I get a little more horny than usual…. which, however, is just overkill to be honest.

I tend to look up more often when I’m outside, if it isn’t cloudy

I used to be a telephone operator. We could tell when the moon was full by the craziness of the calls.

I got up this morning about 3:00. I looked out the door & the way the moon was situated behind a tree, it was the perfect Halloween setting. Love it.

@jbfletcherfan It was a beautiful moon last night. It made me think of Halloween also. Not a good night for me though. My cat knocked over a glass of water in the middle of the night and I woke up to my ipod touch sitting in the water. It won’t work now. :(

jbfletcherfan's avatar

@jonsblond Oh, no! Hopefully it’ll dry out. If you have time, try using your blow dryer on it.

No, but I always love the sight.

@jbfletcherfan Thanks for the help!

jonsblond's avatar

@jbfletcherfan Nope. I’m blaming the full moon!

jbfletcherfan's avatar

@jonsblond Well, hell. I thought you meant it was okay now.

sandystrachan's avatar

@jonsblond Slow drying will help , use a 60 watt bulb over night or a full day it may work then .

@jbfletcherfan Sorry for the confusion. Just meant thanks for the advice. Here I am hijacking the thread! :)

@sandystrachan Thanks for the help also. I’ll give it a try. My husband and I will be fighting for the computer now if it doesn’t work.

jbfletcherfan's avatar

@jonsblond hijack away. It seems like the moon doesn’t affect anyone strangely. Like Matt said, it’s just good to look at it.

@jonsblond They did a piece about this exact thing on a TV show , the guy tested loads of objects and what he did was . Slow dry using the bulb and am sure he did something else .
Show was called gadget show
