If you are using CVS (Prescription) Pharmacy, how is the service?

Asked by Quagmire (2088points) August 16th, 2009

I’m talking about the section of CVS that fills prescriptions. The one I’ve been using is giving me terrible service. Today they refilled a medication that I haven’t taken in 2 years!!! For no reason! I’ve already talked to the store manager. There’s a Walgreens nearby. Are they better?

I think it really depends upon the individual Pharmacist rather than which chain.

When I lived in Philly there were tons of CVS stores and I went to them quite a bit. Most were fine, no complaints

Every once in a while I would encounter a crappy one but that has happened with other chains (Walgreens as well)

One major difference I noted tho was in the computer systems. CVS seemed to have more difficulty accessing your info if you went to a different branch in another part of town as is not uncommon in a large metropolitan area. But it wasn’t that big a deal for me.

Each store is different. I love the CVS that is closest to my new home. The ones that I was near before the move were lousy.

If the one that is close to you doesn’t measure up, you should definitely transfer to another CVS or another store entirely. A good pharmacist is your friend.
