Can I create a shortcut to open outlook2007 in a specific profile?

Asked by manuel_alarcon (242 points ) August 24th, 2009

i wonder if i can link to the outlook2007 executable file (or other files…) and pass variables to it, so I can create different shortcuts to the same program, and get each of them to open a specific profile…

This is how you would add a shortcut for outlook to open a specific profile.

1. Right-click your desktop, point to New, and click Create Shortcut. The Create Shortcut dialog box will appear.
2. Type the following location: “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\OUTLOOK.EXE” /profile “[NAME]“, where [NAME] is the name of your Outlook profile.
3. Click Next.
4. Type in a name for the shortcut.
5. Click Finish.
