I just moved to California. Do I need to become a resident or something to get a job here?

As long as you are a US citizen and are not applying to the state university system as a resident, you will be fine (or something). After one year and the payment of state taxes (does CA. have a state tax?) you are officially a resident. Congratulations.

No. Not unless you want to run for office.

Nope. But if you move there, you should get a CA license.

You could always ask Ahnold.

All you need is a Greencard, or Citizenship to work (or even a work permit), you wont be a CA resident for like a year or two so you cant run for office, nor go to a UC or CSU.

Not at all.

If you plan on going to school you will need to provide proof of residency. Having a drivers license or ID card for a year will satisfy that requirement. That will prevent you from paying the crazy out of state tuition.

But you don’t need anything to get a job.
