When did the famous bartender Harry Craddock die?

Asked by BostonBrian (5points) October 14th, 2009

Harry Craddock was a famous bartender who moved to London at the start of Prohibition and later wrote The Savoy Cocktail Book. I found that he retired from the Dorchester Hotel (London) in 1947 at the age of 74. But when did he die?
