It’s interesting. Personally, I prefer women who are a little more mature – in their late thirties or early forties. I am as (superficially) attracted to the lithe figures of the late teens, early twenties starlets of the screen as much as the next red-blooded guy, mind you. I’d just prefer to go to bed with an intelligent woman my age. Her intelligence, experience and sense of humour (crucial) would far outweigh anything a teenager had to offer.

As far as the fantasy goes – I understand it. Combine it with the bikini wax question and you’ll get plenty of hard-ons here (can I say that?).

But in the long run – it’s just a fantasy – and probably way more complex than can be discussed here. Why am I turned off by S and M while someone else might be turned on by it? All fetishes and fantasies must stem from somewhere – I think it runs way deep; show me what turns you on – I’ll show you what kind of mommy you had.

I find it sort of arousing I guess.

I remember from my old Psych class is that a man looks for a woman that he has the highest chance of passing on his genes with. It’s why a lot of men tend to find interest in more fit women than those who may be overweight.

Now when I think “Schoolgirl,” first thing that comes to mind is innocence. The innocent girl in mind is the one that is unaffected by alcohol, smoking, sex, and other things that may lower the chances of their survival and in turn, lower the chance of reproduction.

It’s just a theory though. I don’t know.

What @Haroot says – plus the major hard-on factor, eh?!

as a wise man once said: “The more pure something is, the more satisfying it is to corrupt it.”

There’s also the factor of fear. Fear of getting old and losing virility. Another theory is ‘biology’ (even though a man loses his fertility when he gets older too).

I think it’s more about trying to find a sexual partner who’s a lot less willing to reject you. It’s an ego boost.

For eons, men have had an attraction to young females, especially virgins. The male brain is wired to procreate with as many females as he can.

The schoolgirl image denotes youth and health (both give a better chance of carrying a child to term), she is more likely virgin (better chance the child will be his).

Sorry there is not more romanticism, but it is just procreational priority that is pre-wired

I don’t understand many mens attractions to girls dressed up in pigtails and school-girl costumes. I seems kind of pervy to me, but I admit I don’t get it, so I could be wrong.

It might be nostalgia. Maybe men aren’t imagining they are an adult having sex with a minor. Maybe they are reenacting sexual fantasies they had from when they were that age and that’‘s what their peer group was but they weren’t able to fulfill those desires then.
just a thought

Okay, a youthful woman with a dangerously short skirt, sluttily worn dress shirt, and time spent making her hair look nice… Call me crazy, but that is pretty sexually attractive.

jfos's avatar

Match that with the shy, submissive demeanor and you’re on track for bonerdom.

gemiwing's avatar

shy submissive demeanor always makes me run away screaming. I want an adult human, not a dog

I’ve been talking about this with my dad recently, who’s big into genetics and biology. I believe the “schoolgirl fetish” is directly related to something called neoteny. This term refers to the retention of youthful traits in adults. Good examples are dogs and cats, who we have bred to retain puppy- and kitten-like features (big eyes, playfulness, etc) in adults. But it is also prevalent in human culture.

Youth translates directly to fertility, when you think about it. Young women at schoolgirl age are around their peak reproductive potential, so that translates into other things associated with school-aged women (uniforms, etc) become arousing. Ever notice that Asians (especially Japanese) are some of the most neotenous people in the world, and they have the most pronounced schoolgirl fetish?

That plaid patterned skirt with a white shirt just gets me, it’s irresistible.

I think it’s a cultural symbol that’s been reinforced time and again in the West but to all others it would make little sense

Not to mention the horny old goat thing and she’s less likely to have seen many penises to compare his with

It’s about innocence. It’s about cuteness. It’s about power. It’s about the fantasies you had when you were in high school.

It has nothing to do with minors. The color red has been known to invoke passion… a mild aphrodisiac.. the color black may say “bad girl” about them.. the skirt being short reveals the nice legs.. .. ahh what the hell am I talking about.. I have no idea why I like it.. I just do .

sjmc1989's avatar

I don’t understand it either but I am attracted to the mature, older men so I guess it works out for me! :)

NaturalMineralWater's avatar

@sjmc1989 I’ve noticed that about a lot of women. It’s a bit scary too.. that women could be attracted to say… Sean Connery… because of .. whatever reason.. and he’s like… +40 on their age. That makes me a little quesy. But yeah… humans are all bass ackwards. Whattyagonnado?

sjmc1989's avatar

@NaturalMineralWater I think it is the stability of older men that I am attracted to. Yeah I probably have some daddy issues I wouldn’t say Sean Connery but maybe like Gabriel Byrne or as cliche as it sounds George Clooney.

sjmc1989's avatar

…but you are right we sick and backwards as humans but thats what makes us interesting.

sjmc1989's avatar

Oops and one more thing to add when I say stability I am not meaning financial stability at all but more of their stability mentally. Didn’t want to catch shit for being a “golddigger” thought I’d clear that up

Lure of the innocent?

1. AT 20, he is still quite young. So considering he’s only 24 months older than what constitutes one as a schoolgirl. It doesn’t seem pervy to me 2 Like one of the posts mention, it may be in the uniform. Some guys might enjoy see a woman dress up. and 3.Fantasies- most of the time are just that – fantasy. While they shouldn’t be taken too seriously-Many have them but don’t disclose them-So at least he shares them with you
If he was Older and more serious then it would be perverted, it’s one thing being attracted to youthfulness but in my book- adult with minor=pedophile.

whiteroseman's avatar

Some of it is also because when he was in school all the girls of the same age weren’t interested; they always wanted older boys/men. He who laughs last…..
