Yes, provided it doesn’t detract from the discussion prompted by the question (e.g. isn’t a personal attack).

You can also leave private or public comments on others’ profile pages, if you want to pursue something with an answerer.

Yes, and it’s good pratice to use the @ symbol so everyone knows who you’re talking to.

For example: @absalom has a good answer.

It seems you don’t have the feature of adding a comment directly under the person’s comment. I miss that. Ah, I found ‘Edit’. Wonderful!

[mod says] At the present time, threaded comments are not a feature of Fluther. Each comment simply has it’s own area, but you are more than welcome to discuss the Q or the comments of others so long as the comments are on-topic and do not thoroughly derail the thread. In that case, you can always send a private message (PM) to the user you want to converse with.
