Is there a particular proverb or saying that you live by?

“Man who lives in glass house should change in basement.”
“Better to be pissed off than pissed on.”

These are really cheeky and silly, but I look at them from an unconventional perspective and see a great deal of philosophical truth in them.

A weasel and a rat don’t a ferret make.

“A society that gets rid of all of its troublemakers goes downhill.”—Robert Heinlein

Well, I am not certain if they are proverbs but they are relatively well known quotes. I firmly believe in all three.

Yeah, they’re not proverbs, but I try to live by them and so far I’m pretty happy with my life.
