Raclette cheese - is there a suitable alternative?

Asked by dea_ex_machina (138points) December 14th, 2009

I am finding it difficult to get hold of raclette cheese – does anyone know of a good alternative that would work as well for a raclette?

Gruyère, Jarlsberg, or Morbier should work. My favorite semi-soft cheese is LeRoy.
