Do you have a favorite question among those you have submitted to Fluther so far? And if so, why? And is it also your most highly rated one?

Asked by hiphiphopflipflapflop (6100points) December 17th, 2009

I was browsing through my own questions and got the feeling the best of mine to date is here. I feel it is fairly original and thought provoking with a strong ethical aspect to it. And I like the fact it came to me while thinking about why the game Spore is popular. :) It happens to be tied with one other question of mine when it comes to the number of GQs it has been given.

a question was asked a few weeks ago – “sometimes when i sneeze i catch a cramp in my chode. does this happen to anyone else? it hurts.” it is my favorite question because it made me laugh, in real life, like for real laugh, for honestly 15 minutes. and the tags were like “sneeze. chode. cramp. hurt. ouch.”....i was seriously dying over it.

i cant think of any others that stick out to me. the fluther community on a desert island question produced some good responses.

All my questions are lame and boring, unless it has something to do with Xena, then it’s totally hawt and epic.

@deni I meant questions that YOU have asked yourself. :)

@jonsblond I neglected to mention that that question of yours sort of put me into this train of thought. :)

@hiphiphopflipflapflop I didn’t know which way to go with my Q. I was thinking your way but went with mine. Great minds? =)

@deni Ahhh, I remember your posts on the chode thread. Itw as good stuff. :)

@jonsblond “Are you pondering what I’m pondering?” ;) :D

I have to believe this was my best question. It got more GQ’s (20) than I’ve received for any other question, and sparked a very frank and interesting discussion. In many ways it created quite a buzz around here for a while, and to top it all off, it is the question that pushed me over the 10k threshold.

“Am I Gay?” sparked a lot of debate and interest. I was surprised.

This was a fun question. When I woke up the following morning I had only a vague recollection of asking it.

The one that got the most GQ’s for me was: Why is tanning for beauty considered to be less offensive or racist than skin lightening products?

My own personal favourite was: How do you feel about the banning of so called “dangerous” dog breeds? because this is a subject that I feel very strongly about myself

It was really hard to choose a favourite because I have asked a couple of questions regarding race that created some very interesting discussion.

I’ve given up on trying to write something that I would consider a good question. I don’t try to write anything epic anymore, because the questions I think will be golden never turn out that way, but I think the only one that had the most responses, which most of my questions have 0–20 is…. What do you think about zombies in porn? with 61 responses.
Do you opt to not tell people about Fluther more than you do? is my highest rated with 7
I don’t know it just seems like the ones I really would like responses from never do anything close to these two questions.

I asked this one my first day here and it still makes me smile.

I have no clue which of my questions is the “highest rated”.

I like the question I asked today about how much people trust their friends. It is unfortunate that people feel as I do; but at least I know I am not the only one.

I didn’t ask it, but I think that this question about how we should discuss morals is fantastic. Possibly, one of the best things I’ve seen.

hiphiphopflipflapflop's avatar

@iamthemob I meant your favorite question that you, yourself, have asked. (Wow, this is an old one.)

Espiritus_Corvus's avatar

I can’t remember the exact questions, but I’ve had some favorites that have bombed miserably throughout the years. Then I’ll ask something off-hand and not expect much interest, and BOOM, 50 responses inside a couple of hours. It’s a real crapshoot. Kinda like real life.
