How do I insert an excel sheet into a word document VERTICALLY?

Does the spreadsheet have to be “a spreadsheet” when you paste it? That is, does it need to retain its usability “as a spreadsheet”? Because if it doesn’t, I’d suggest just pasting screenshots of it, which you can rotate as you would any other graphic. (There’d probably be less storage overhead that way, too, since you wouldn’t be copying the source file, but just .JPG views of it.

No, it does have to be a spreadsheet – I just want it to appear as one. A screenshot would do also….

In Excel, you can turn the spreadsheet, making columns into rows and vice versa.

1) Copy an area.
2) Right-click (Windows) or control-click (Mac) on another area and choose ‘Paste Special’
3) Check the box for ‘Transpose’
4) Click ‘OK’
