It’s funny you ask that, I got the sniffles on New years eve and since then my right nostril has been blocked constantly! Take cold and flu caps, theres stuff in them to dry up a blocked nose, use a nasal spray too, Lots of citrus fruits and keep cosy. It’ll pass.

I haven’t got any Nasonex or sprays, but I’ll try some cold and flu caps and citrus fruit.

This will sound gross, but you’ve got to snot rocket. Press your thumb on to the side of your empty nostril so it closes, grab a tissue, and blow as hard as you can. It’s gross, but it clears a blocked nose quick.

It might be dry in your house, or wherever you live, and you can get a humidifier. It helps tremendously. Humidifiers can be around $20, or else you can boil water, but that gets old to keep refilling a pan.

Well, if you want to get rid of it your best bet is to chop it right off!

Just kidding. I have suffered this problem myself. The best thing to do is to blow your nose hard and often. That will keep your airways clear. If you feel congested, but blowing your nose doesn’t help, take Mucinex D and use Ocean nasal spray. The Ocean is a simple saltwater spray, so you can use it as often as you like without any rebound effects. I hope you feel better.

There’s a how-to in Chinatown.

Try flushing the nose out with water. If there’s nothing blocking it, it may be an allergy response to something (pollen, dust, animal hair, etc.).

Ladydragon is correct. i would only add…...that if everything else fails, use steam. in boiling water over the stove, add three tablespoons of table salt. stir. grab a towel and place it over the back of your head to make a hood. now, bend over the boiling saltwater and breath through your nose for about 10 minutes. do not burn yourself. this has worked magic for me for many years. have you ever wondered why your nose clears out when you go swimming in the ocean? this is the same principle, only a smaller version and it works. john
