What would you say, is it the end of his/her life or all of his/her dreams are perished here?

Asked by 9doomedtodie (3113points) January 4th, 2010

If anyone’s doing job in a company because of his/her parents compell him/her, but he/she dislikes that job as it is not as per his/her interest & he/she is doing the job to overcome his/her parents need.

But if he/she wants to switch the job which likes to him/her but there are responsibilities & bad financial conditions because of that he/she can not change the job.

What are the dreams that might perish?

Can one pursue those dreams quietly on the side until the dream is strong enough to replace the job?

This is what I got:

“If parental pressure forces someone is in an undesirable career, should they choose follow their interests instead, even if that means potentially running into financial issues and upsetting the folks?”

I think. It’s really hard to comprehend what you’re trying to say, @blinkErri. Might just be me.

@Grisaille yeah, I too got a bit lost/confused by the wording/composition of his/her question/query.

I don’t think the dreams are gone, or perished, by any means! Maybe not quite able to be grasped at this point, but certainly in the near future? Or, like @Dog said, these dreams could build up strength until the person can give up the job they don’t want.

I think it’s really important to enjoy one’s job, since you’re gonna be working in it for most of your life. So, I’d say that person shouldn’t ever just call defeat on a dream. Life is long! There’s, thankfully, time to build to something, time to set goals and reach for them. So he/she isn’t doing their dream yet. The only thing that will stop them from attaining it is giving up.
...So don’t give up!

@Grisaille and @jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities, if the / throw you off try replacing the ‘he/she’ with ‘they’ and it should be no prob

If you can’t do what you like full time, try to pursue the interests that you enjoy as a hobby in the hopes that they can be eventually turned into a money making venture.
