Has anyone managed to get a free xbox live gold membership?

Asked by Ame_Evil (3051points) January 11th, 2010

I see many of these methods online about offers to getting a free 12 month xbox live code and whatnot, but I was just wondering if any of them actually work. The current one I am looking at the moment is Rewards1, however I am very sceptical of the whole system as the last time I offered questionnaires for vouchers and stuff they only sent out a few questionnaires and stopped doing so before I could receive a voucher.

So yeah, any comments are welcome. I know I probably should stop wasting my time and just pay the £28 for xbox live.

Generally speaking, unless the offer is from Microsoft… I would put them down to mostly if not fully fraudulent in nature.

If it seems sketchy and too good to be true, it most likely is. Plus, if you are caught, Microsoft can ban you from live. Not worth the risk, IMHO.

Nope. I was foolish enough to try it and got a trojan for my troubles. If you’re too cheap to buy live, PSN is a good alternative. But I hear that some PS3’s are having problems in the UK.

£28? Mine cost £42!!!

Those are all scams. Nothing is free.

I got 6 months free from MS when I had my RRoD repaired.

@ucme: I was thinking the same! Why £28

You can buy xbox live from ebay for £28. These guys have 100% feedback, and paypal will just refund me if it doesn’t work so I am inclined to take that offer than buy it from microsoft directly.

@Ame_Evil Ahh that’ll be it then!
