Topics for doing a research paper?

Start by leaving one space after each sentence. Don’t use textspeak, please, Do some research first and give us some of your ideas. It’s your paper, remember. You get the grade and not us. (“Please help, guys.”)

take your two favorite cars and compare/contrast.

That or if you really want to get into some stuff look into “variable valve timing” or “series and parallel twin turbo set ups”.

Cite your sources correctly. See if your school has something like NoodleTools or use EasyBib. At a college level, and even at a high school level papers with sources not correctly cited will be thrown back in your face.

I know nothing about mechanical engineering, but if I were you I would do some reading. Read various articles about mechanical engineering, especially auto engineering. Think about what part of what you read interests you the most, and go from there.

I think a history on different type of internal combustion engine designs would be cool. Or new inventions of engineering that will change the world.

Should “research paper” and “cool” ever appear in the same sentence?

@gailcalled I’ve done research papers on topics I think are cool. People not excited by attachment disorder research might disagree. :)

@Likeradar: How would you define “cool”? I am always profoundly interested in what I choose to write about and have never been accused of having a attachment disorder, whatever that might mean. Too attached or not attached enough?

@gailcalled I did a research paper on how to become an Army Ranger, and one od Comparing and contrasting the Nissan Skyline GTR R34 and the Toyota Supra Mark 4
