Well, if there aren’t, then I don’t know why they are authorized to shoot you for getting near the base. Maybe they are baking nuclear cookies or something.

I always think that if there are aliens, which people tend to assume they are far superior to humans and all…

Why they hell would they crash while trying to “check out” earth and its creatures?

I mean are they really that smart? I kinda doubt it a little bit….The area 51 thing who knows I bet there are many things we don’t know about you should do some research if your that serious about it.

Try google earth/map , area 51 just for kicks lol….

I think there are aliens, but I don’t think that they are at area 51 anymore I think they live in small towns.

Definitely.

No. The ability to travel interstellar distances that would be necessary for extra terrestrials to reach the Earth (if they exist) is beyond any potential technology we have thought of. First extra terrestrial intelligence would have to have evolved far beyond the level that humans have reached to produce the technology in the first place. Assuming that happened, and that they managed to find the Earth interesting out of all the planets and distances in the galaxy, let alone the universe, and decided to visit Earth, we would then have to believe that they either crashed or in some other way were captured by humans or that they were hiding in order to plot some kind of takeover (since they would not reveal themselves to anyone, even the government if they just wanted to do a secret study for scientific reasons).

But a civilization that advanced that wanted to take over or take something from the Earth wouldn’t sneak about and conspire with the government, they would just take what they wanted and we couldn’t do squat about it. Similarly, we are not holding members of such a civilization prisoner. Even if they somehow crashed and we were able to capture them, a civilization that could send them could come and rescue them, and again, we could not hope to stop them.

@Snarp so… no anal probe then? No implant in my skull? I had my hair done.

Steve_A's avatar

@Snarp I agree with you completely that explained what I was thinking about far better! haha. Great Answer.

I mean really its just not logical and I am human thinking that, surely this “far superior” aliens would know better than myself.

Snarp's avatar

@Trillian Well, maybe as part of a scientific study, but if so the U.S. government doesn’t know any more about it than we do. ;-)

Snarp's avatar

Man, I used to have a terrible recurring nightmare about an implant in my skull. I had to wait in a long line for a roller coaster and then it turned out that at the end of the line you get strapped in a chair and a huge needle sticks an implant in your brain through your forehead. I fought my way out and then got caught again and then I woke up, but I was really still dreaming and found myself getting in another long line, realized what it was but no one would listen to me, they caught me and brought me in for the implant. Then I finally really woke up. Creepy.

Trillian's avatar

@Snarp, for some reason, I never get invited to those studies. Sniff, sniff.

i think the goverment had some really cool toys in area 51. i think there might be life in other galaxies, but not in our own. i think the goverment has our future mapped out for us and thos crazy lights in the sky are just the tools we will be using to get us there, but somebody has to test drive it first.

erichw1504's avatar

@Steve_A I believe it is blocked out on Google Earth. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Snarp's avatar

@erichw1504 It’s not blocked, it’s an airfield.

Dr_Dredd's avatar

@nikayamo Mmm… nuclear cookies. Do they have chocolate chips? :-)

pjanaway's avatar

I’m an alien. I need to phone home. HELP?

Ansible1's avatar

I remember hearing about that guy who hacked into the NASA/DoD database and found listings for NTO’s – Non Terrestrial Officers

erichw1504's avatar

@Ansible1 What’s your source?

Snarp's avatar

@Ansible1 Which if true couldn’t possibly have any other explanation since even with all the alien technology they still obviously couldn’t stop some hacker from getting information that could bring down the whole conspiracy that they’ve managed to prevent any of the people involved in from blowing the whistle on…...

Dr_Dredd's avatar

@Ansible1 Non-Terrestrial Officer could technically be any of the NASA astronauts. :-)

Ansible1's avatar

@erichw1504 i’m not saying it’s true, just something I heard

erichw1504's avatar

@Ansible1 OK, I was just wondering if it was an article you read on-line or something.

Rufus_T_Firefly's avatar

I read the same article. He mentioned that there were hundreds of names on that list and the information made it appear that they all served off-planet. Which is, I guess, why out government is so eager to extradite him.

Snarp's avatar

Are you guys talking about Gary McKinnon? Yeah, I’m going to just take his word for it that he found evidence of aliens. He also thinks 9/11 was an inside job.

kidkosmik's avatar

I could tell you but then I’d have to kill you.~

Rufus_T_Firefly's avatar

@Snarp – You don’t have to take anybody’s word on either, but if your mind is really that closed on both subjects, I wouldn’t take your opinion as fact either. The fact is that the American government believes that Gary McKinnon did find some very sensitive information, and that it was something they would have preferred to keep secret. The U.S. actions indicate that whatever information McKinnon found was apparently valuable enough that they want him extradited to the U.S. ASAP. Besides that, there are still enough unanswered questions regarding the physical evidence and events of 911 to suggest a certain level of insider forethought and culpability.

Snarp's avatar

@Rufus_T_Firefly You don’t have to agree with me, but don’t call me closed minded because I don’t take a single person’s word as being adequate evidence of something that defies my own (and most people’s) ability to reason. It’s insulting to assume that those you disagree with are closed minded or ignorant simply because they disagree with you.

Rufus_T_Firefly's avatar

@Snarp – Wow, someone’s panties are tightly bunched. No offense was intended. I merely made a statement. If you’ll notice, I said ”IF your mind is really that closed,” and then I provided you with several facts to consider, which most people would want to consider, especially if they value the truth. If you, (and most people) can’t make sense of that and you’re willing to overlook the obvious, you’re not seeing the bigger picture.

Snarp's avatar

@Rufus_T_Firefly Sure, you didn’t mean to imply closed mindedness. That “if” totally lets you off the hook.~

Rufus_T_Firefly's avatar

@Snarp – Sorry f the shoe fits, but your sarcastic comment did imply that anyone who backs McKinnon or doesn’t swallow the government’s faulty explanation of the events of 9/11 hook, line and sinker is some type of crackpot.

Rufus_T_Firefly's avatar

@Snarp – Please explain the hundreds of legitimate unanswered questions. Your source leaves those out. Your source also erroneously predicted that we’d all have flying cars by now. At least you labeled the link appropriately.

Nullo's avatar

I honestly don’t see why aliens would want to hang around Area 51. It’s all desert and military installations. Aliens interested in people would be more likely to camp out in the cities, whereas aliens more interested in the flora and fauna would show more interest in more habitable regions.
