What is the purpose of recording Casey Anthony's visitations ?

She is a woman accused of murdering her daughter.

They record her in the hopes that she will provide evidence for her prosecution or defense to use in court.

By law they have to inform all parties in advance that they are being recorded or the recording will not be admissible in court.

It is done for legal purposes and will be used as evidence if anything beneficial to either side presents itself.
