Can you receive network HD programming from Time Warner w/o paying for the HD tier?

Asked by andrew (16543points) February 11th, 2007
I'm just looking for ABCHD, NBCHD, etc. which I thought are supposed to be free; Time Warner's "HD Tier" doesn't list the channels... does anyone know about this? I don't want to pay if I all I'm getting are the crappy HD filler channels.

andrew, it looks like the HDTier is just some extra filler channels (and ESPN HD), but I think it differs by market. In Waco, you don't get much: http://www.timewarnercable.com/cincinnati/programming/hdtier.html

But you should get normal HD channels for free.

Or, at least, you will almost definitely get the HD local channels without signing up for HD Tier.

P.S., that link was Cincinnati, not Waco. Here's waco: http://www.timewarnercable.com/waco/products/cable/hdtier.html
