Wish You Could Explore the Amazon? Why?

Asked by Aster (20023points) May 14th, 2010

I see tv shows with people who , after getting Lost in the Amazon go back again they love it so much. What’s to like? Have you been there and why would you go to such a place?

I have not been there, but I can tell you that if you do not appreciate nature and it’s beauty, grace and power, you wouldn’t understand lol. I wish I could go there to see the many exotic species, experience the climate, and be amongst the deep green and brown environment.

so if I am In Love with the Rocky Mountains, the piney woods of Texas, my rose garden, the beauty and power of thunderstorms but I don’t like the Amazon that means I don’t appreciate nature?

@Aster Nope, but how could you appreciate all of those aspects of nature, but not understand how someone would feel the same about the Amazon…...

I have. It was amazing.

I can appreciate and admire nature as much as the next person, but the Amazon is probably really dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing and have no experience. I mean there’s probably trails and shit on the outskirts you can follow, but really traversing the whole thing…I’d be worried about snakes, poisonous insects or weird plants, plus if you cut yourself in there, it’s so humid that your wound will take forever to close up. :/
