HTC Evo 4G Tethering?

I want to tether my HTC Evo 4G to my MacBook without paying 30 a month for tethering, and without rooting my phone. Bluetooth, Wifi, USB i don’t mind. What should i do?

Just like with the iPhone the only “free” way of getting tethering is to hack or “root” your phone. Here is an article that can get you to the resources you need…

But to root i need to erase everything! I don’t want to do that D:

You don’t have to root your phone to tether. Programs like Easy Tether, KLINK, and PDANet don’t require root to tether. These are all Android apps which I don’t think the iphone would be able to use…
