What factor do you like least about your job?

Asked by jca (36062points) July 15th, 2010

of all the things about your job that you may dislike, which do you dislike the most? what is the one thing about your job that you can’t stand and would change if you could? is it the boss? is it a certain task? is it one of your coworkers? is it the hours? is it the commute to work? is it the parking (or lack of)? is it the pay? is it poor benefits?

I would change the fact that I don’t have a job.

I work in hospice. What I dislike about my job is watching people die. Since it comes with the territory, this is exactly why I am taking an extended hiatus from work. It’s very emotionally wearing after a while.

It never stops. I don’t get a day off without guilt. Retirement plan is lousy.

The role I have in the industry I’m in is very male dominant. Females aren’t taken very seriously, unless they’re sucking a dick to get to where they’re going. Talent isn’t always good enough. Only the fact that you have a vagina and are willing to use it. If not, you’re a joke and are essentially taking the long and hard (no pun intended) route to reach your goal. Good thing I’m okay with that, but it does get incredibly frustrating after a while. You spend an incredible amount of time working your ass off, but if you don’t give it up, sometimes none of that hard work matters. So you proceed to work your ass off harder than the one next to you willing to fuck multiple strangers and they advance and you’re held back. Sounds lovely doesn’t it?
You just hope you can find people like you who care and recognize your work, passion, dedication and effort. It’s rare, but it happens as long as you keep truckin’. =)

I hate that I don’t have enough shelf space to sell all of the beautiful wines I taste every day. I know. It sucks to be me.

I come home every night covered in filth. Sometimes it cakes on and takes more than one shower for it to come off. Like for example, at the moment, I appear to be wearing eye liner. The thing is, I am not a make up kinda guy.

Honestly, there isn’t much I don’t like about my job. I’d say the only thing that ever gets to me is having to step in (behind the scenes) when folks are fighting, especially if one or more of them are friends of mine. Banning a friend sucks.

Beyond that, what’s not to like? I’ve got great bosses, fabulous co-workers, and fantastic ‘customers’ (all of you jellies). I get to do a job I love, from the comfort of my home and I learn something new in the process just about everyday!

When it is very slow and I don’t have enough to do. The time drags and there isn’t enough mental stimulation.
