What's the strangest end of Summer experience you have had?

Growing up we always grew a lot of corn, both to fill the silos for the cows and sweet corn to freeze for us to cut down on food costs. Chopping and freezing the corn always marked the end of Summer for me. Last night, I was freezing some sweet corn, while watching Prince Poppycock on America’s Got Talent. I thought back to my childhood and tried to think of any stranger end of Summer experiences and didn’t come up with anything to top that. Have any one’s you can think of?
