How should I spend my time tonight on school work?

Asked by remambermee (442points) December 1st, 2010

Should I study chapters for an exam on Friday
and then tomorrow start on a 6 page essay that’s due Tuesday?
Or have it be the other way around? Reason why I don’t want to do both is because I procrastinate easily and I just want to focus on one subject. Also I lost all of Saturday to write my paper and some of Sunday for personal reasons. And I’ve been told it’s better if you study a day before a test.

I’m not sure the answer is the same for everybody. Figuring out how to solve problems like this is one of the parts of your education that don’t come from books and lectures. If you do it one way this time and it doesn’t work out for the best, try it the other way next time.

You should study for 2 hours for your exam on Friday, and then spend 1 hour outlining your essay. If you haven’t been keeping up on your studying for the test, cramming doesn’t help as much as reviewing the material a day or two before. Get up early on Saturday, and spend an hour prewriting before your commitment.

I would study for the test. Then I would start work on the paper after the test is out of the way.

Whatever you decide, hanging around on Fluther isn’t helping you.
