And when I say wrest, I mean by take by force and something like that.

The journals I wrote since I was a teenager. That I later burned so they wouldnt fall into the wrong hands, and I was punishing myself. I mean, I could have buried them. They were uber personal, I would do a handstand in an outhouse to have those back right now. They would help so much.

Lord, if I’m reading it I’m probably interested.

But wrest? It would probably be the directions on how to take the life-saving medication I needed right then.

@iamthemob Slightly sadistic in your methods. I’d say more of a prise…slow & gentle.

Oh boy. Let’s see… anything by Robert Heinlein, Chuck Palahniuk, Ken Follett, Edward Abbey, or Stephen King. Don’t mess with my books.

Horror books. I read them like a fish drinks water. For me they’re a getaway, they’re fun and magical. When I’m reading them I’m somewhere else, and Imma pull a Bruce Lee mixed with Jaws if someone tries to rip me away by taking the book.

I read a lot of other shit too, in fact my favourite book ever isn’t horror, but the horror genre does have that effect on me that you’ll pay dearly for trying to take it from me. XD

History books, artist auto/biographies.

I used to get so interested in a book, but now I try to only read when no one else is around so I won’t be disturbed. I was really glad I had a good book on a 14 hour flight (in two 7 hour segments). I was able to ignore all the discomfort I was feeling.

Anything I am reading. I love to read, and I don’t have nearly enough time to read as much as I would like, so if I am reading…leave me alone!

My latest issue of Asimov’s.
