Will cyclone Yasi effect Sydney?

I’m flying to Sydney tomorrow and i’m a nervous paranoid flyer.
Will the flight from Christchurch to Sydney be affected by the cyclone?

I know the cyclone is in Brisbane but will anything be felt in sydney?

No Tan. It is likely to cross the coast of Queensland somewhere in Far North Queensland. That is a very long way away from Sydney. So you will be fine. You can be sure Yasi won’t affect your flight. Enjoy Sydney. Are you visiting for fun or work? Have you been before?
