What does it mean if someone is watching the conversation?

Does that mean that they are reading it right then, or that they are following the asker of the question?

It means they’re actually looking at the question page, but they’re not currently typing an answer (then they become “composing members”).

Oh-okay…It’s just that I’ve visited my first question a couple of times and it always said the above, so I was wondering…Thanks for you help!
