@peace_love_aliens Where do you live? (that was SO not intended to be humorous).

If you live in London, you just might have a camera on you at all times.

peace_love_aliens's avatar

@FutureMemory No, I do not live in London. I actually live in the usa, california, but that is all I’m telling.

You probably are overly cautious. I won’t argue if it’s for safety reasons but if it really bothers you then a therapy wouldn’t hurt. Another alternative if you’re feeling paranoid is to fight it with narcissism (it works for me). Why are they looking at me? Ooh… It must because I’m so beautiful,so amazing,so seductive… It’s a sin being so extremely attractive… I wouldn’t blame them if they look at me.

It’s only paranoia if they really aren’t out to get you.

I think you have good reason to be nervous. I live in NJ and over the past two years, cameras have been popping up everywhere. I wish ppl would realize that all whoever is running these cameras has to do, is install some software and using our digital licenses, we will be able to be tracked everywhere.
We are approaching 1984 at a rapid pace and no one seems to notice, no one seems to care.

@chris6137 :: Do you have a cell phone? It isn’t any secret that your phone for the most part can track you. They know what cell phone towers you hit. I would be shocked if that data wasn’t logged.

@johnpowell
Which is why I am against FISA and the Patriot Act and why we need more competition amongst service providers and keep them seperate from government.
Cameras are installed and ran by government from the get go as our licenses. For the time being, they are ran by municipalities and states, but can be transferred to the federal government in no time. We already have REAL ID or whatever its called this week.

My questions to you are, where do we draw the line? How much power and control does the government need before it becomes too powerful? And since all of this is done in the name of terrorism, what will it do to stop it?

@chris6137 Trust me, I hate the shit as much as everyone should. I don’t have a cell phone and I don’t drive. I have a proxy server in Poland that I do most of my Internet stuff through.

Unfortunately there will be another terrorist attack. And any politician that tries to repeal all this shit will get slaughtered in the following election if something does happen. So the risk/reward isn’t worth it.
