Here it is mid=July. How's the weather in Your neck of the woods?

Asked by Aster (20023points) July 16th, 2011

I can’t recall the last time it was as cold as 92. It has been 98–101+ for weeks on end here in east Texas. No rain. You get up=it’s in the eighties and sunny. Soon it’s 90 then it starts climbing , as usual, into the upper nineties and more. It’s so predictably hot that you feel like something real bad is going to happen but you don’t know what. One thing is certain: tomorrow it’ll be 100 and sunny with no rain.
What’s the weather like where You live?

We’re having a pretty mild summer to date. Only about 3 days of 100 so far.
The 4th of July was about 95, then a few days of 97, 98 and 100.

Now, this last week and through tomorrow it is predicted to be about 83–84, with a gradual rise to a couple of 91’s and then back down into the 80’s again by the end of next week.

Infact, just woke up about 30 minutes ago and it is overcast and a cool 55 degrees, giving way to sun with a few clouds later and a high of 83.

I’m loving it, but…we’re not done with the heat, it’ll be back, sooner or later, cherishing the moments. haha

My 91 year old friend who lives in DC was right! When I complain of 95 degree temperatures and high humidity here, he always says, “Well, you should try out Arizona or Texas!”
Thing is you could only count in your fingers the number of perfect and glorious weather here in a year ( toes included ) Perfect meaning 75 to 80 degrees in summer.

@Aster

Yes, it’s a dry heat, we rarely get much humidity, Once in awhile, but, dry heat is much easier to cope with and even when it hits 100+ the nights drop down into the 60’s. A few hot nights, but, all in all, not too bad.

Temperature reached 66° today, which I find very pleasant. It is cool at night. It hasn’t been a good summer this year so far, it has been cool, cloudy and wet. Today we had sunny intervals and occasional heavy showers.

Today is pretty awful, but it’s been nice the last few days. It gets around 50 at night and no more than 70 during the day and today it’s completely cloudy. Poor excuse for summer, but that’s the Bay Area for you. El Nino all the time due to global warming. Luckily I’ll be in Spain in a week or so…

It’s as hot as a snake’s belly in a wagon rut. Dry as a popcorn fart.

My daughter and two kids are heading to San Francisco on Wednesday for a week and I know they’ll love it @DominicX.

Here in the Los Angeles area (San Fernando valley), today’s high was in the mid-70’s.
I love it when I don’t have to use any artificial cooling or heating. :-D

Here in southern NY it’s been hot and dry. It’s not been a bad summer so far, but is supposed to get humid again on Monday. The terrible weather we had this past winter is just a distant memory, but it will be back again before we know it.

Bliss out right now at 7 pm.
77 degrees, sprinklers sending off a perfect mist in the breeze and the mysterious Sax player somewhere down the canyon whose soulful blues are wafting through the trees. :-D

To freakin hot! However, a storm is starting right now! I can hear the grumbling thunder, and the rain begin to fall. I hope this’ll cool shit dome some, because it’s way too crazy hot and humid at the mo. Driving me mad.
