What is a recent assumption you made, and how much of an ass of u and me was made?

I ASSumed she would accept my sincere heartfelt words of apology….she said it was rote. It’s what I get for not sending flowers! ;)

I assumed (this morning) that wearing shades and being non-talkative would be signs enough that I was not in the mood to be spoken about social housing problems to.
But they weren’t.
Don’t know if I was really an ass, but when I answered with an unrelated reply that might have looked a bit weird.

On this last weekend, here on Fluther. I assumed that two users were making fun of me, but it was quite the contrary.

And the only ass there was me.

When I assumed that somebody had the same strong feelings for me that I did for them….it ended awkwardly with him avoiding me and not answering my e-mails.

That my car was shot. I was expecting a major repair bill or to have to replace it altogether. Looks like it’ll be $500 bucks, so I’m really glad my assumption was wrong.

I need more assumptions that turn out like that, @augustlan!
