Asked by jca (36062points) August 25th, 2011

Are there high cubicles, low cubicles, no cubicles, open floor plan, nice desks, crappy desks, modular office furniture, everyone in his own office? Please describe.

I have my own office, about 15 X 24 feet, with a nice but cluttered desk.

Our complex housed about 1500 people. Executives had corner offices with fairly fancy furnishings. Directors had offices with a door and wooden furniture. Managers had cubicles with high walls and an L-shaped modular desk. Non-exempt employees had a cubicle with lower walls and a U-shaped modular desk. Contractors got a tiny cubicle with one work area or they shared what we called a corral.

I work from home at a small desk in the corner of the room facing a window.

I have a space, no door but there’s a desk and a computer….the nurses have a desk, no offices..we’re in a chemotherapy suite…the financial person has an office that closes and so does the doctor, that’s it.

I’m in a senior position at a global corporation, and my corner office is roughly 25 X 35 feet. Has a large landscape-style window, square meeting table w/ 4 chairs, large ā€œLā€ shaped desk, and comfy leather chair with a leather couch for casual meetings. (I am not trying to boast, just providing details)

In my husband’s work space, the I. T. department has a long narrow room (about 12’ x 20 ’) with windows all along one side, and seven desks, three on one side, three on the other side, and one at the end. There are doors at each end of the room.

They work as a team, discussing their work through out the day.

Oh, I forgot to mention there are a row of small trees outside, and Hubby bought bird feeders to hang in the trees. The office enjoys birds all year long.
