Britons, what are must-do activities for two young people in London?

Asked by newtscamander (2843points) March 17th, 2012

Any ideas? We’re from Germany and are there for the first few days of April. Anything you can think of, please add, we’re having a general brainstorm and looking for some inspiration at the moment ;)

Tour Tower Bridge (It’s more fun than you’d think. I don’t want to say any more and spoil the fun).

Ride the London Eye.

See Piccadilly Circus.

If you’re into cultural stuff, there’s the British Museum, of course, and the Wax Museum, and the Crown Jewels in the Tower of London.

Natural History Museum is a must for anyone of any age, just the building itself is amazing. The London Eye at dusk. Go shopping at the Camden markets The Stables Market is especially good and no trip to Camden is complete without lunch and a pint at The Lock Tavern

If you like live music and or indie rock club nights then The Borderline might be worth a visit. Mudmee is a fantastic little Thai restaurant, I’ve only been to the one on Artillary Passage, it can be a little tricky to find but it is without a doubt my favourite restaurant in London.

Get out of London and head north to York, Whitby, Edinburgh etc, etc… London is a shithole!
Get a ferry from Zeebrugge or Rotterdam to Hull and York is a short hop.
