Why do firearms enthusiasts wear combat clothes when they go on a rampage?

Do “tactical” costumes help a lot when you’re mowing down movie goers or small children?

Delusions of being in the services therefore having an actual reason, in their mind, of killing others?

marinelife's avatar

It’s all part of their illusions about power and themselves.

Because they did not have time to rent a tux, seriously, it makes no difference in the carnage does it?

Firearms enthusiasts don’t go on rampages any more than knife enthusiasts. Nuts with guns wear combat clothes because they watch too many rambo movies.

@WestRiverrat whoa whoa.. layoff the Rambo. Alright??? lol

Anywho mom/teacher should’ve had red flags all over the place when seeing her son dress up this way wouldn’t ya think?

I wonder if COD or BLACK OPS influenced this mother fucker. I say this because I have a buddy who all of a sudden got inspired to join the air force after controlling the air support unit in COD video game.

I suppose maybe they figure that it will help them should anyone retaliate? Citizens/police.

Getting shot probably hurts pretty fucking bad and if you’re going for a record number of kills, you don’t want to be taken out before you get there.
Harsh, but true.

It takes a special kind of idiot to walk into a police station and start shooting, doesn’t happen very often, people who go on shooting sprees generally choose gun free locations.

Because they think they look cool and serious, and the delusionally think that they are in a war.

Wearing a tactical vest does serve a practical purpose. It has pockets specifically designed to carry extra magazines and ammunition for whatever weapon the person is carrying. Plus it will provide better protection than a t-shirt for the inevitable police encounter.

@YoKoolAid no joke, lol, I was in a gun shop recently and they had this hunting vest, it had over 55 pockets, I almost wanted it as a replacement for my purse. It would look stupid, but damn it if I wouldn’t be prepared for any occasion with that many pockets.

Firearms enthusiasts don’t go on rampages…

A guy with a Glock 9mm, a Sig 9mm and a .223 semi is not a firearms enthusiast?

_Whitetigress's avatar

@jaytkay I think I’m going to have to side with what @WestRiverrat is talking about.
I doubt the guy was a gun collector/hunter first before he was sadistic.
what westriverrat is saying is that, “Firearms enthusiasts don’t go on rampages any more than knife enthusiasts.”

People with knives go on rampages just as much as firearmed nuts.

@jaytkay not really by gun enthusiast standards.

This is what a gun enthusiast’s gun vault looks like.
