Could I be pregnant?

It is pretty much always possible that a fertile woman of child-bearing age is pregnant. The only way to know is to take a pregnancy test, so you should take one if you are concerned.

The thing is, I’m young. I have no way down of transport to go and get one.

How long ago were you expecting your period? Has it been regular since you stopped taking the birth control?

Do you have a friend you trust? A relative? A school teacher? Someone who can go and buy you a test or can take you to buy one? What about your parents? I can understand if you don’t want to say anything to them until you are sure. You do need to find out at soon as possible so you can either stop worrying or make important decisions.

These are all possible symptoms of going off birth control. On birth control, my periods were light, short, regular, and painless. When I stopped taking them, they became heavy, irregular, and extremely unpleasant. Quitting birth control can throw your whole system out of whack for awhile.

If you had sex with a condom and used it correctly, odds are you’re not pregnant. However, if you can find a ride to the grocery store, you can get a pregnancy test to make sure. No one here can possibly know whether or not you’re pregnant.

Amenorrhea
The reason for lack of menstruation is that your body is not producing enough hormones necessary to ovulate and menstruate. Dr sugar said it best

” Many birth control pills are designed especially to help treat exaggerated premenstrual syndromes or in certain women, premenstrual dysphoric disorder. Thus, some women will notice increased breast tenderness and other premenstrual symptoms such as nausea, headaches and fluctuating emotions.”
Now it is possible that the condom was not efficient, because that is always a possibility, thus you can only know for sure by taking a test.
You must find someone you can trust in order to purchase you one should you wish not to inform your parents. (I believe you yourself can buy them at any drug store but still a physical examination is always best)

In my humble opinion I do not think you are, ive recently seen a lady who swore she was pregnant only to find this was the cause, as well as some psychosomatic effects

If you are old enough to be on birth control and having sex, you can either have your partner pick up a pregnancy test for you or get a ride.

If there is the slightest chance you may be pregnant, you want to find out as soon as possible. If you can eliminate that and the symptoms persist, then you need to see your doctor

From your information, can I assume that you have had two normal periods after you went off the pill?

My periods have been regularly since I stopped talking the pill. My partner is unaware of all of this as I do not want to stress him out anymore than I already have. I do t want to tell my parents until I know for sure. I had a blood test done a couple weeks ago, is there any chance it would come up in that? I have an appointment with my GP tomorrow.

When you go to the doctor’s tomorrow, ask them to test you.
