Would this phone work with Virgin Mobile?

Asked by Russter (242points) May 4th, 2013

I’m looking at the HTC One and am wondering if it would work with Virgin Mobile since it’s a Sprint phone. Any ideas? This is the phone: http://www.htc.com/us/smartphones/htc-one/#ratings

Contact Virgin Mobile and ask. Sprint and Virgin both use CDMA, but I don’t know if it is the same frequency.

Doing a bit of research leads me to conclude that it will infact work.

That page lists the frequencies that the phone supports, among them is 1900MHz. According to Wikipedia, Virgin Mobile in the United States operates on 1900MHz.

Furthermore, though possibly unrelated, Virgin Mobile is owned by Sprint.
