Do you know all the words to Tiny Bubbles?

Asked by Here2_4 (7152points) October 12th, 2014

I will GA anybody who will post a link to a recording of them singing Tiny Bubbles.
Or, lets have some fun facts about Hawaii. Really cool ones, I hope.

Tiny bubbles
In the wine
Makes me feel happy
Makes me feel fine. That’s all I know. lol Should be “make” not “makes.” Right?

Tiny bubbles makes me warm all over
With the feeling that I’m gonna love you till the end of time.

Tiny bubbles (tiny bubbles)
In the wine (in the wine)
Make me happy (make me happy)
Make me feel fine (make me feel fine)

Tiny bubbles (tiny bubbles)
Make me warm all over
With a feeling that I’m gonna
Love you till the end of time

So here’s to the golden moon
And here’s to the silver sea
And mostly here’s a toast
To you and me

So here’s to the ginger lei
I give to you today
And here’s a kiss
That will not fade away

Wow! I did not realize @Tropical_Willie is Don Ho! This is excellent! I have seen you on variety shows all my life! I saw you on the Brady Bunch, and many other things since. RThis is very exciting.

And . . . I have been dead for seven years. ;>)

My condolences, Don Tropical Willie.

Friday night went to concert with an old school Hawaiian entertainer, his father and Don Ho were friends on Oahu after they were in the Air Force together.

I did not know Don Ho had been in the service. How cool of you to share this with us. I wonder if you could develop this into a more informational discussion. How do native Hawaiians see statehood these days? Is there a positive attitude, or would many rather be an independent nation?

Tropical_Willie's avatar

The entertainer was told by his grandfather to be like a coconut tree, the coconut tree in a hurricane will bend and drop fronds. A pine or other tree will be uprooted. Some native Hawaiians are like coconut trees and some are like pine trees. The “hurricane” in the 1950’s was statehood, still is that way today.

See, I knew this question would end up worth the posting. Thank you. A colorful and diplomatic reply, for sure.

Who would have guessed that Tropical Willie was in reality Topical Willie?

ibstubro's avatar

I thank you for that, @Tropical_Willie.

Enjoyed the heck out of it.

ragingloli's avatar

In fact, I know none of the words.

Here2_4's avatar

@ragingloli – now you do. @Tropical_Willie was good enough to put them in print for all to see, and provide a nice link to Don Ho singing them.
